Biography
I am the owner and principal consultant of Soil & Water Consulting, a golf course consulting firm focused on soil, water, and plant tissue testing for golf course turf systems.
With more than 20 years of hands-on experience, I work directly with golf course superintendents to help them understand what their data is actually telling them and how to apply it in real-world maintenance decisions. My work centers on what is happening below the surface—organic matter distribution, sand fraction balance, nutrient availability, and water quality—and how those factors influence turf performance, playability, and long-term sustainability.
Soil & Water Consulting provides on-site sampling, detailed laboratory analysis, and concise written reports designed to be used, not filed away. I emphasize efficiency, precision, and repeatable testing methods so trends can be tracked over time and decisions can be made with confidence.
I work with golf courses across multiple regions of the United States, supporting both cool-season and warm-season turf systems. I also assist municipal golf systems, multi-course operations, and private clubs seeking consistent, data-driven approaches to turf management.
My philosophy is simple: measure accurately, interpret honestly, and recommend only what the data supports.
